Pooraka were very committed to winning the ball and putting pressure on their opponent today and for three quarters they outplayed us in this regard. We clearly had a broader spread of talent over the field and that served us well, but we need to make more of a statement in our every involvement. Ultimately we need to be so desperate at the ball that the opposition is wondering each time “how did he beat me to that?” Meanwhile, the opponent with the ball must fear where the next tackle is coming from. If we can implement both we will establish an advantage over our opponents even before we play them. We are good enough to do that but we didn’t show it enough today and it must be a goal for the next game and all future matches.

We are taking a break from training this Thursday as we run into a long weekend without a match. Enjoy the break and come back the following week primed for our biggest challenge so far this year, against Broadview at Broadview!
