WalkervilleWhites U9’s vs Golden Grove Green U9’s.

The Walky U9 Whites took on a tough tackling Golden Grove Green this week in probably the most physical game we’ve played this year.

To our boys credit they did everything they were asked to do, and they did it well.

The courageous Cats were never afraid to go after the ball and consistently laid good strong tackles against the opposition. And it was pretty clear Golden Grove and been coaching tackling too. In games like this shepherding is very important and the boys were generally pretty selfless in protecting the person with the ball.

Other pleasing points in our play today were; the team work, calling for the ball and some good long kicks to loose men.

Quarter by quarter: 

The Cats got off to a good start booting three unanswered goals in the first quarter, two coming from Harry Steele. 

Golden Grove came back at us in the second quarter, just outscoring the Cats for the term.

But after half time Walkerville was really back in the game scoring well in the third and forth quarters and finishing up with a very convincing win.
