Walkerville Auskickers are winners!

Congratulations to Dillion Hill from the Walkerville Auskick centre,  who has won the Auskick prize from the North Adelaide Football Club zone.

From the AFL's media release:

"NAB AFL Auskick participants Sarah Daunt from Glenelg, Dillon Hill from North Adelaide, Dylan Skurray from Norwood, Caleb Poulter from Port Adelaide, Tyler Kerkemeyer from South Adelaide, Issaac Attanasio from Sturt, Alicia Reynolds from West Adelaide and Ethan Murphy from WW Torrens have won the opportunity of a lifetime to play on the MCG at half-time of the 2008 Toyota AFL Grand Final, thanks to the AFL and NAB.

The winners will be accompanied by a guardian and will travel to Melbourne to participate in Grand Final activities from Thursday of Grand Final week.
All 94 winners will join NAB AFL Auskick Ambassador Robert ‘Dipper’ DiPierdomenico in the 2008 AFL Toyota Grand Final Parade as well as visiting the MCG’s National Sports Museum and participating in the Grand Final pre-match entertainment.  A further 22 children involved will win the opportunity to present a Premiership Medal to one of the players from the winning team.

Dipper said being part of one of the biggest sporting events in Australia was a once in a lifetime opportunity and an experience that these kids will never forget.
“Most supporters could only ever dream of what these 94 kids are about to embark on when they are flown to Melbourne to participate in the Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade, before taking to the MCG at half-time during the 2008 Toyota AFL Grand Final, a memory they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. ”

How did they get so lucky?  Simply by registering in the 2008 NAB AFL Auskick program.

Every NAB AFL Auskick participant across Australia, aged between five and 12, was entered into the competition, which was drawn on Monday August 4 at AFL House in Melbourne.  One winner from each of the 94 development regions across Australia was selected making this one of the biggest kids’ competitions of its kind.  This competition demonstrates that NAB AFL Auskick is truly a national program that benefits all participants regardless of their location."
